Most big concerts in Kuala Lumpur don’t go on sale all at once. They sell in layers: often a fan-club presale first, then card or partner presales, then the free My Live Nation presale, and finally the general on-sale, usually all checking out on GoLive Asia. Each layer has its own sign-up, its own time window and its own ticket limit, and none of them guarantees you a ticket.
This guide puts every layer on one page, with real dated examples, so you know what to sign up for, by when, and what to expect on the day. The limits, times and fees below come from specific shows (BTS ARIRANG KL 2026 and BABYMONSTER KL). They change for every event, so always check the official event page before your sale.
The presale layers at a glance
| Presale type | Who it’s for | What you need | Code? | Where you buy | Example limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fan-club / Weverse membership presale | Paid fan-club members (K-pop) | Official membership + registration inside the window | Yes, usually your membership number | GoLive Asia | BTS KL 2026: 4 per Weverse ID per date; BABYMONSTER KL: 2 per code |
| Card presale (e.g. Mastercard) | Holders of the named card | The eligible card at checkout | Sometimes, usually your card number checks eligibility | GoLive Asia | Set per event |
| Partner presale (e.g. Trip.com) | Customers of the partner | Partner account or the partner’s link | Depends on the partner | Partner site or GoLive Asia | Set per event |
| My Live Nation presale | Anyone with a free My Live Nation account | Activated account, logged in | Usually no; some events use an emailed access code | GoLive Asia | wave to earth: 6 per order |
| General on-sale | Everyone | A GoLive Asia account | No | GoLive Asia | BTS KL 2026: 8 per show date across LN presale + general |

A real timeline: BTS ARIRANG KL (2026)
The BTS ARIRANG Kuala Lumpur sale is a good example of how the layers stack. According to the livenation.my event page, the order was:
- 3 June: ARMY Membership presale (Weverse membership holders who registered)
- 4 June, 9am: Trip.com presale
- 4 June, 11am: Live Nation presale (My Live Nation members)
- 5 June, 11am: general on-sale
That is four chances across three days, each with its own rules. Other shows use fewer layers or a different order, so treat this as an example of how it usually works, not a fixed rule. You can see how we handled this show on our BTS ARIRANG KL page, and upcoming sales are on our concert calendar.
Step 1: Set up your accounts before the sale
Do this days before, not minutes before. Most failed presale attempts we hear about start with a login problem.
GoLive Asia account
GoLive Asia is where most big KL shows check out. Create your account with an email you’ll keep, because GoLive says the email can’t be changed after purchase. Payment is usually by Visa or Mastercard, and some events also accept SPayLater. Remember that all sales are final.
My Live Nation account
My Live Nation is free. Sign up at livenation.my, activate the account from the email it sends, and opt in to newsletters so you hear about presales. It is a separate login from GoLive Asia, so you need both.
Weverse and membership (K-pop)
For K-pop shows, the fan-club presale usually runs through Weverse. Buy the official membership for the artist, then register for that specific show’s presale inside the registration window posted on Weverse. Buying the membership alone is not enough. Check “My Events” on Weverse to confirm your registration went through.
How the Weverse membership presale works on GoLive

Once you’re registered, your membership number becomes your presale code on GoLive Asia. For BTS, that number looked like BA (or BZ) followed by 9 digits. Enter it exactly, with no spaces, when GoLive asks for the presale code.
Limits are set per show. For BTS ARIRANG KL 2026, it was 4 tickets per Weverse ID per show date. For BABYMONSTER KL, it was 2 tickets per code.
A timing warning: for BABYMONSTER KL, the Weverse notice listed the presale as 30 June, 11am–11:59pm MYT, while the GoLive page showed 29 June 11pm–30 June 11:59am. That looks like a timezone display difference. Trust the organiser’s time in Malaysia time (MYT) and double-check both pages the day before.
Never share your membership number, Weverse login or OTP with a stranger who offers to “help”. That is one of the common patterns in our guide to concert ticket scams in Malaysia.
How the Live Nation Malaysia presale works
For most shows, you don’t need a code. Log in at livenation.my when the presale opens. You’ll see “My Live Nation” at the top right when you’re logged in. Then click the Presale button on the event page, and you’ll be sent to the ticketing site (usually GoLive Asia) to check out.
The exception: some events use an emailed access code instead, with a registration cut-off before the sale. If the event page mentions registering, do it before the cut-off. Per-order caps vary too; wave to earth, for example, allowed 6 per order.
Ticket limits: per transaction, per ID, per show
Limits can apply at different levels, and they don’t always add up the way you’d expect. For BTS ARIRANG KL 2026:
- Per transaction: 4 tickets
- Per Weverse ID (membership presale): 4 tickets per show date
- Overall: 8 tickets per show date across the Live Nation presale and the general on-sale combined
So if your group of eight is relying on one person, that person can’t buy all eight in one go. Plan who buys what, in which layer, before the day. Don’t try to get around limits with multiple accounts or bots; the terms ban it and orders can be cancelled.
On the day: waiting room, timing and payment
- Join the waiting room early. On GoLive, the waiting room opened about an hour before the sale for BABYMONSTER KL.
- Check the time is MYT. Especially if Weverse and GoLive show different times.
- Have payment ready. Check your card limit, keep your phone nearby for the bank OTP, and know whether your bank needs app approval.
- Know the fees. As an example only, on 1 November 2026 the GoLive page for BABYMONSTER KL listed an RM12.96 ticket fee per ticket and RM16.20 booking charges per transaction, including SST, plus a 3% processing fee for SPayLater. Other shows will differ.
- Keep trying. Tickets that are held in carts but not paid for get released back, so “sold out” in the first minutes isn’t always final.
- Remember all sales are final. Double-check the date, category and quantity before you pay.
What a presale doesn’t give you
- No guaranteed ticket. Registration and presale access are first come, first served.
- No guaranteed better seats. Live Nation event pages say presale seats are not necessarily better than general sale seats. You’re simply shopping earlier, while more categories are still available.
- No refunds for obstructed views. For BTS KL, the terms said restricted or obstructed-view seats would not be refunded.
Pre-sale checklist

- GoLive Asia account created, verified, and logged in on every device you’ll use
- My Live Nation account created and activated
- Weverse membership bought (K-pop) and presale registration confirmed in “My Events”
- Each presale’s date and time noted in MYT, cross-checked between Weverse and GoLive
- Registration cut-offs for any access-code presale noted
- Card ready, limit checked, OTP phone charged and nearby
- Ticket limits for each layer read, and your group’s plan agreed
- Category and seat map checked, including any restricted-view notes
- Stable internet; join the waiting room as soon as it opens
- Backup plan if every presale fails
Missed every presale? Your options
If the presales didn’t work out, you still have the general on-sale, plus any later ticket releases or added dates. Be realistic, though: from what we see, the general sale is usually the stage with the fewest tickets left, and it’s hard for anyone to secure seats then, proxy services included.
That shapes how fans plan. In our experience, fans with a bigger budget usually want to try the Weverse membership presale first, hoping for a better shot at the better categories while more are still available. Fans on a tighter budget tend to come to us for the general sale, often after they’ve already tried and failed once or twice on their own. If that’s you, know that the general sale is the hardest stage for everyone, so set expectations early.

FAQ
How do Malaysian concert presales work?
Most big concerts in Kuala Lumpur sell through GoLive Asia in stages. There is often a fan-club presale first (for K-pop, a Weverse membership presale), then partner or card presales such as Mastercard or Trip.com, then the free My Live Nation member presale, and finally the general on-sale. Each stage has its own sign-up, time window and ticket limit, and you need a GoLive Asia account to check out in all of them. Presale tickets are the same tickets, sold earlier. They are first come, first served and not guaranteed.
Do I need a code for the Live Nation Malaysia presale?
Usually not. Create a free My Live Nation account at livenation.my, activate it, and log in when the presale opens (“My Live Nation” shows at the top right). Then click the Presale button on the event page. Checkout happens on a separate ticketing account, usually GoLive Asia. Some events use an emailed access code with a registration cut-off instead, so check the event page.
How does a Weverse membership presale work for a KL concert?
Buy the official membership on Weverse, register for that show’s presale in the posted window, then on GoLive enter your membership number as the code with no spaces (for example, BA + 9 digits for BTS). Limits are set per show. For BTS KL 2026 it was 4 per Weverse ID per date; for BABYMONSTER KL it was 2 per code.
How many tickets can I buy in each presale, and do the limits add up?
It depends on the show. Limits can apply per transaction, per membership ID and per show date. For BTS KL 2026, it was 4 per transaction, 4 per Weverse ID in the membership presale, and 8 overall per show date across the Live Nation presale and general sale.
Do I need a separate GoLive Asia account?
Yes. GoLive Asia is a separate login from My Live Nation and Weverse. Create it before the sale, and use an email you’ll keep, because it can’t be changed after purchase.
Does a presale guarantee a ticket or better seats?
No on both counts. Presales are first come, first served, and Live Nation says presale seats are not necessarily better than general sale seats.
What payment methods and fees should I expect on GoLive?
Usually Visa or Mastercard, and sometimes SPayLater. Fees are per event. As a dated example (1 November 2026), BABYMONSTER KL listed RM12.96 per ticket plus RM16.20 per transaction, including SST, and a 3% SPayLater processing fee.
What if I miss every presale?
Try the general on-sale and watch for released tickets or added dates. The general sale often has the fewest tickets left, so it’s the hardest stage for everyone. Avoid unverified resellers, and if you use a proxy, check it first.
Can’t be online at 11am on a weekday?
Beliticket is a concierge service: we attempt the official sale stage you choose, whether that’s a presale you’re eligible for or the general sale, on the official platform at face value. We don’t have insider access or special allocations, and we’re not approved by Live Nation, GoLive Asia or Weverse. Organiser terms on unauthorised sellers may apply, so read them before you decide. Our securing fee is stated on each show’s product page. See how it works, or browse current pre-orders in the shop.
